the kahani movement

I am very happy to see this site - it's objective is similar to the website I edit, www.dadinani.com. Here we are capturiing a variety of Indian and Indian diaspora memories that are at least 50 years old. For younger readers in the US, these stories will give a sense of India 50 or more years ago, while the 65+ year old generation will find stories similar to what they may have experienced. We also feature personal stories of the older generation - their lives, their struggles, hopes, aspirations, achievements, etc. There is also a section focused on capturing authentic Indian memories. Some of the contributors live in the US, while others are in India.

On the main site, every contribution is edited to make sure that what is a personal story is intelligible and interesting to non-family members. There is also a blog space, where the contributions are not edited, but the story must be at least 40 years old.

I will spread the word about this site to my contributors, and invite all of you to contribute to the dadinani website. You can reach me at dadinani@gmail.com
